 XTO Energy, an ExxonMobil subsidiary, is an upstream oil and gas company proficient in hydraulic fracturing for unconventional assets like shale rock. Following ExxonMobil's acquisition, an upgrade to SAP S/4 Hana PRA was initiated, encompassing areas like Drilling, Leasing, and Joint Venture/Production Revenue Accounting. They faced challenges in system integration, inconsistent data, data governance, and intricate tax jurisdictions. To address these, they efficiently integrated various interfaces, utilized SAP Data Services for data conversion, trained teams on the S/4 Hana Data Migration Cockpit, harmonized master data, and introduced a geocode-based tax jurisdiction lookup. This involved the integration of over 20 systems, data profiling, master data normalization using SAP Data Services, and identifying tax jurisdictions without address specifics. As outcomes, data conversion times were notably decreased (for instance, JVA conversion dropped from 9 days to 2.5 hours), enhanced data reconciliation practices were adopted, tax gaps on wells were minimized to below 2%, and a framework for data governance was established for wider ExxonMobil units. 

 GST, a prominent industry player, faced growing challenges with their Denodo platform, experiencing performance lags, ineffective data caching, and inconsistent version control. To address these issues, a thorough review and optimization process was undertaken. The interventions ranged from analyzing and improving existing views for better performance to enhancing caching strategies and revamping connection settings. A pivotal change was the integration with GIT for stronger version control, fortified by a robust backup procedure.  Post-interventions, GST witnessed a notable surge in platform efficiency, with faster data access, streamlined caching, seamless data connections, and a fortified versioning system. The transformed platform not only bolstered GST's present operations but also laid a solid foundation for future growth. 

 Tasked with the complex challenge of refining CTL's financial compliance landscape, W5 consultants dove deep into the intricacies of regulatory reporting. Adhering to part 32 accounting requirements, our team ensured meticulous financial documentation for each company-state fusion. We went beyond the call of duty, orchestrating precise periodic reports for state Universal Service Funding. Migrating from Business Objects to its latest version aimed to provide faster service and a consistent user experience. This migration involved updating 19 BW 3.5 data sources from both SAP CRM and SAP ERP to BW 7.0. In the process, the system ensured minimal downtime and real-time address cleansing with suggestions, as well as duplicate matching. An upgrade was required for reports in outdated formats, which was executed with zero downtime, while maintaining system operations. The update reduced the need for monitoring, optimized OS patch validation, and decreased the number of servers—resulting in efficiency gains for administrators. The updated version is more efficient, resilient, and scalable, modernizing the enterprise platform and introducing a new portal.

 The internal data systems in EPIC were challenging to access and manage, leading to difficulties in retrieving accurate data and generating reports. The environment was sluggish and needed enhancement. To address these issues, over ten enterprise architectures were resized and reconfigured. Additionally, thousands of corporate reports under WEB Intelligence were redesigned for optimal sizing. To ensure swift and effective data transfer, the data-to-portal governance and interface developments were revamped. Other upgrades included updating servers to the latest versions, reshaping the entire BI environment, and re-architecting data reports to help staff trace data movement from source to target.
